The work includes the following: Installation of final cover system that includes excavation and soil placement of minimum one-foot foundation layer; Draintube drainage geocomposite; geosynthetic clay liner with 40 mil LLDPE geomembrane moisture barrier and three-foot protective soil cover for the final cover areas.
This project was created in order to reduce potential flood risk. The project will enlarge 870 linear feet of the channel in preparation for the one percent annual chance, or 100-year, flood. A portion of the enlarge 710 feet will be converted to a buried reinforced concrete box culvert.
